Irradiation Facilities in Karlsruhe

ˇ       Facility name: KAZ

ˇ       Operated by: ZAG-ZYKLOTRON AG

ˇ       Machine type: Proton - Compact Cyclotron

ˇ       Type, flux and energy of available particles:
Protons of 25 MeV, fluence of 1E15/cm2 on 1x1 cm2 in 15 minutes, typical beam current 1.5ľA

ˇ       Dimensions allowed for the samples to irradiate:
40x20 cm2

ˇ       Availability:
On request.

ˇ       Costs:
Accessible via AIDA2020 Transnational Access (http://aida2020.web.cern.ch/content/kit)

ˇ       Supplementary informations:
Sensors can be cooled by cold nitrogen gas. Since the beam spot is about 7mm in diameter a scanning stage is used to irradiate larger objects up to an area of 400 mm x 200 mm.
